f you lose your Aadhaar card, there is a special service on the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website, which you can avail by paying a nominal fee. With this facility of UIDAI you can reprint your Aadhaar card. This service is useful for Aadhaar cardholders, whose Aadhaar card is lost or forgotten somewhere.

This facility was not available before

If you lost your Aadhaar card earlier, you could not get it again. You would show it as identity proof, which was valid. But now according to UIDAI website, any person can get his new Aadhaar card by paying a nominal fee of Rs 50 (including GST and speed post fee). You will get the reprinted aadhaar card via speed post within 5 working days.

You will get 6 digit OTP on your registered phone. Enter it on the new page. Answer some questions in the quick survey here too. Then click on the option of Verify And Download. Finally, your Aadhaar card (digital copy) will be downloaded. You can print this.
